STEPtember 23

It's raining, it's pouring...

Moving 10,000 steps a day is one heck of a challenge! But each move will be made easier knowing it's all for a very worthy cause. In the lead up to STEPtember, I've been trying to take a walk every day to build my endurance and get those steps up. Today however, the weather gods had other plans. Looks like I'll be hitting the treadmill after the kids go to sleep tonight.

Every dollar I raise will support life-changing research, treatment, services and asssitive technologies to help people with cerebral palsy. Please help me support this great cause!

My STEPtember journey so far

Friday 22nd Sep
Reflecting back on my STEPtember journey so far, I am so glad that I joined up, motivating myself to move and raising money for a very important cause.
STEPtember has:
  • helped me have more active time with my kids
  • finally use the treadmill that was gathering dust
  • afforded me some alone time to explore my peaceful surrounds on the lands of the Bidigal people of the Eora Nation.
I also loveseeing the photos of teams at work getting together for lunchtime STEPtember walks. What a great way to connect with each other.

Step-by-step

Monday 4th Sep
We're only four days in and this is a lot harder than I thought! A combination of sick kids and sleepless nights is not helping. However, I never take my mobility for granted. I will walk my tired legs 10,000 steps every day to support those who can't. On the plus side, walking with a pram gives you extra steps!
