HOW STEPTEMBER WORKS
Employees have the option to participate in teams of up to four led by one team captain, or as individuals.
$100 per team of four or $25 per person registration fee.
Participants can move any way they like to take 10,000 steps per day. Over 40 activities count towards their daily steps.
Everyone can track their steps using their phone or smartwatch and sync with our app. They can also request a STEPtember pedometer.
Organisations and participants fundraise online, supported with helpful tips and our STEPtember trainers.
Online leaderboards track the progress of your teams and organisation against other participating organisations.
Employees can celebrate their success on social media and encourage others to step up and join the challenge.
Digital resources will be available to help you and your employees spread the word.
If you take the first step, we’ll help you with the rest.
During the challenge, we’ll have a team of STEPtember Trainers who live with cerebral palsy to motivate our participants the whole way. Supporting them towards their fundraising and stepping goals.
“STEPtember provides First State Super with multiple benefits for our staff and our organisation. As an accessible and achievable health and wellness challenge, all our staff can participate together, creating a sense of connection between departments and offices. The campaign is a “win-win” – our employees improve their health and well-being through physical activity whilst supporting a great cause at the same time.”
— Michael Baldwin, Head of Communications & Community, First State Super
"Cerebral Palsy Alliance and Clayton Utz have a rich and long standing relationship. We are proud to be involved in STEPtember every year. STEPtember offers the opportunity to help us emerge from our post winter hibernation and get active in the lead up to summer. To us it’s the perfect form of fundraising: something that’s fun to do, at the right time of the year, a chance to be part of a team, to get outdoors, be competitive with friends and colleagues and it’s also for a great cause."
— Peter Staciwa, Partner, Clayton Utz
