Steptember:

Steptember (Steptember.org.au) is a fundraising initiative owned and operated by Cerebral Palsy Alliance (CPA). 

The Challenge:

1. The challenge starts on 1 September 2026 and ends on 30 September 2026.
2. To be eligible to receive a reward, Steptember fundraisers need to meet the conditions outlined below (under "Rewards") by 11:59pm AEDT on Thursday 1 October 2026.
3. Any additional fundraising activity must be completed by 11:59pm AEST on Saturday 31 October 2026, and funds raised as part of the campaign must be banked before this date. The Steptember fundraising pages will remain open until 11:59pm AEST on Saturday 31 October 2026.
4. While participating in this challenge may have health benefits, Steptember provides no warranty whatsoever that this challenge will achieve an individual's health goals. The challenge has not been developed with any individual's particular health requirements in consideration.
5. Do not rely on the information provided in relation to the Steptember challenge as an alternative to medical advice from a doctor or other professional healthcare provider. If participants have any specific health or medical concerns, they should consult with their medical or healthcare provider, prior to changing their diet, nutrition, or exercise regimen.
6. While Cerebral Palsy Alliance has made every attempt to ensure that the information provided as part of the Steptember challenge has been obtained from reliable sources, Cerebral Palsy Alliance is not responsible for any errors or omissions, or for the results obtained from the use of this information. 

Agreement:

I/We understand the terms and conditions under which any fundraising activities benefiting Cerebral Palsy Alliance need to operate. I/We have read Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s terms and conditions and offer to participate in Steptember in accordance with those terms and conditions. 

By agreeing to these Terms of Fundraising you acknowledge:
1. Will be solely responsible for all your activities on the Steptember.org.au site also referred to as the Site.
2. No person under the age of 18 may use Steptember.org.au to donate or fundraise, unless the permission of a parent or guardian is sought to participate in the challenge.
3. You do not have any pending/current charges or past criminal convictions relating to a sexual offence. You do not have any convictions of a violent nature or assault. You have never been convicted, with or without trial of, pleaded guilty or no contest to a theft or fraud charge. You are not currently awaiting or attending a trial or been arrested for a theft, fraud charge, sexual offence, assault or crime of a violent nature.
4. You will be solely responsible for all your activities on the Steptember.org.au site also referred to as the Site;
5. You have the legal capacity to enter these terms;
6. You will keep all passwords, account names, log in identifiers required to access Steptember.org.au secure and confidential;
7. You will not use Steptember.org.au in any way that causes, or is likely to cause, the site or access to it to be interrupted, damaged or impaired in any way.
8. You will not use the site to misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation;
9. You will not use the Site to conduct, display or forward details of any survey, contest, pyramid scheme or chain letter or use any part of our Site to send commercial messages in contradiction of the Spam Act 2003 (Cth)
10. You will not attempt to modify, adapt, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the site, any associated website or any other website.
11. You will not hide, deface, alter or delete any copyright symbol, trademark or other proprietary rights notice;
12. You will not use any part of the Site which you are not authorised to use or devise ways to circumvent security in order to access part of the Site which you are not authorised to access. This includes, but is not limited to, scanning networks with the intent to breach and/or evaluate security, whether or not the intrusion results in access.
13. You will not use or attempt to use the Site for any unlawful, criminal or negligent purpose. This includes, but is not limited to, password cracking, social engineering (defrauding others into releasing their passwords), denial-of-service attacks, harmful and malicious destruction of data, infringing the intellectual property rights of any person, and injection of computer viruses and intentional invasion of privacy.
14. Cerebral Palsy Alliance requires that there be no door-to-door appeals, street collections or telephone solicitation of any kind to the public in connection with the Steptember challenge.
15. You agree to comply with all applicable Fundraising Acts, other laws, regulations and by-laws (including all applicable privacy laws) and any other conditions which we may notify to you. In participating in the Steptember challenge, you agree to refrain from doing anything which may reasonably be expected to damage the goodwill, reputation or integrity of Cerebral Palsy Alliance. 
16. Any prizes, incentives or rewards will only be able to be claimed or rewarded until Monday 2 November 2026 unless stated otherwise. No claiming, sending or redrawing of these rewards or prizes will occur after this date. 
17. Merchandise Policy: All merchandise rewards are final. Sizes must be selected at registration (where applicable). No exchanges, replacements, or resends will be offered once the item has been dispatched. This applies for socks, reward t-shirts, and any other merchandise or prizes.

Disclaimer: 

Cerebral Palsy Alliance reserves the right to withdraw approval to fundraise should it be necessary to protect its reputation. 

Activity Leaderboards:

At Steptember, we are committed to upholding the integrity of the challenge and ensuring fair competition. As part of this commitment, any suspicious or unusually high volumes of logged activities will be investigated. If participants are unable to provide valid GPS evidence, the Steptember team, in partnership with Cerebral Palsy Alliance, reserves the right to remove the activities and/or impose daily step limits. These measures are designed to ensure that Steptember remains a positive and fair challenge for all participants. The maximum manual entry per day is 30,000 steps. The TOTAL Daily step limit is 50,000. Anything above this will need to be validated by the customer service team.

Steptember 2026 Rewards and Prize Draw Terms and Condtions

Rewards

1. Rewards are open to all new and returning Australian Steptember participants and Managed Organisations who register for Steptember 2026 via steptember.org.au.
2. To be eligible to receive a reward, participants must meet the applicable conditions between 11:59pm AEST on 10 July 2026 and 11:59pm AEST on 31 October 2026.
3. To receive individual fundraising rewards, participants must:
   *>Opt in to receive rewards during registration; and
   >Provide a valid Australian postal address.
4. Cerebral Palsy Alliance will not send rewards to addresses outside Australia.
5. Eligible reward recipients will be notified via their registered email address and/or mobile number.
6. Participants who register under an Organisation are eligible to receive one (1) complimentary pair of Steptember socks. To qualify, participants must register under an Organisation by 11:59pm AEST on 28 August 2026, or while stocks last (26,000 units available), whichever occurs first.
7. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the relevant promotional period.
8. Winners will be notified by email and/or phone using the contact details provided during registration within ten (10) business days of the relevant draw.
9. Winners’ first names may be published on Steptember websites, social media channels and other promotional materials associated with Steptember.
10. If a winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within fourteen (14) days of notification, is found to be ineligible, or is unable to accept the prize, Cerebral Palsy Alliance reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
11. Any redraws will take place on Friday 16 October at 9am AEST. Redraw winners will be notified within ten (10) business days of the redraw.
12. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, except where required by law.
13. If any prize or any element of a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s reasonable control, Cerebral Palsy Alliance reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize of equal or greater value, subject to applicable laws.
14. Unless expressly stated, prizes do not include travel, transfers, meals, spending money, insurance, taxes, visas, passports or any other ancillary costs associated with redeeming or using the prize.
15. Winners are responsible for complying with any conditions imposed by the prize supplier or venue, including booking requirements, expiry dates, age restrictions and terms of use.
16. Where prize fulfilment is provided by a third-party supplier, the winner’s name and contact details may be provided to that supplier solely for the purpose of administering and delivering the prize.
17. Personal information collected in connection with Steptember and any prize draw will be handled in accordance with Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s Privacy Policy.
18. To the extent permitted by law, Cerebral Palsy Alliance is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered as a result of participating in a prize draw or accepting a prize.
19. Cerebral Palsy Alliance reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants and to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, provides false information, or otherwise breaches these Terms and Conditions.
20. Cerebral Palsy Alliance reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify or terminate any reward or prize draw where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, subject to applicable laws.
21. The promoter's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. The promoter is Cerebral Palsy Alliance, ABN 45 000 062 288.

Fundraising Rewards

Raise $350

Participants who raise $350 or more will receive one (1) Steptember t-shirt.

Conditions:

• T-shirt size must be selected during registration.
• A valid Australian postal address must be provided.
• No exchanges or size changes will be permitted after selection.

Raise $750

Participants who raise $750 or more will receive one (1) waterdrop® water bottle.

Conditions:

• A valid Australian postal address must be provided.
• No exchanges will be permitted.
• The bottle received may differ from that pictured in promotional materials.

Challenge Prize Draws 

3-day Activity Streak Prize Draw

Participants who:

• Log an activity via the Steptember app or website on three (3) consecutive days between 12:00am AEST on 1 September 2026 and 11:59pm AEST on 6 September 2026; and
• Raise at least $25,

will receive one (1) entry into the draw.

Prize includes:

• Two (2) nights’ accommodation at Hastings House Noosa; and
• One (1) $1,000 Webjet voucher.

Prize conditions:

• Monday to Thursday bookings only.
• Excludes public holidays and nationwide school holiday periods.
• Includes a two-night stay in a Queen Studio Room with balcony.
• Includes breakfast for two, consisting of one breakfast dish per person and a tea, coffee or juice.
• Travel to and from Noosa is not included.

Australian Open Experience with waterdrop ®

Participants who:

• Log any two (2) activities via the Steptember app or website; and
• Receive at least $25 in donations,

between 12:00am AEST on 7 September 2026 and 11:59pm AEST on 13 September 2026 will receive one (1) entry into the draw.

Prize includes:

• Two (2) tickets to the Australian Open 2027;
• A Walk of Champions Tour; and
• Two (2) nights’ accommodation.

Prize conditions:

• Flights, airport transfers, meals, travel insurance and incidental expenses are not included unless otherwise stated.
• Accommodation provider and room type will be determined by the prize supplier.
• Prize dates are subject to Australian Open scheduling and availability.
• Winner details will be provided to waterdrop® for prize fulfilment purposes.
  
  

$2500 Ampol Fuel Voucher Prize Draw

Participants who secure a donation of $50 or more through the Steptember website between 12:00am AEST on 14 September 2026 and 11:59pm AEST on 20 September 2026 will receive one (1) entry into the draw.

Prize includes:

• One (1) Ampol fuel voucher valued at $2,500 AUD.

Prize conditions:

• Voucher is subject to Ampol’s terms and conditions, including any expiry dates and usage restrictions.
  
  

Fitness First Annual Membership Prize Draw

Participants who:

• Raise at least $10; and
• Log an activity via the Steptember app or website,

between 12:00am AEST on 28 September 2026 and 11:59pm AEST on 30 September 2026 will receive one (1) entry into the draw.

Prize includes:

• One (1) of four (4) Premium Fitness First Annual Memberships.

Prize conditions:

• Membership is subject to Fitness First membership terms and conditions.
• Membership is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
• Access may be limited to participating Fitness First clubs.
• Membership commencement and expiry dates will be determined by Fitness First.
• Winner details will be provided to Fitness First for prize fulfilment purposes.

Registration Self-Donation Dollar Match

1. All registered donors who meet the following requirements (2, 3) will automatically receive a "match" on their donation of the same amount donated.
2. Registration Self-Donation Dollar Match is open to all donors who make a self-donation up to maximum of $225 either during registration or within 7 days of registering for Steptember, or until the $200,000 cap is reached. Donations made on Facebook fundraisers, or the general donation page, will not be matched.
3. Period: During registration or within 7 days of registering for Steptember 2026, or until the $200,000 cap is reached.
4. When the $200,000 cap is reached, the donation prompt in registration and on a participant's dashboard or fundraising page will no longer display. End date will be updated here in Terms Conditions once cap has been exhuasted.
5. All Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees and directors who work on Steptember and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Executive Management Team, are eligible for self-donation match.

Dollar Match Days

1. All registered donors who meet the following requirements (2, 3) will automatically receive a "match" on their donation of the same amount donated.
2. Dollar Match is open to all donors who make a donation up to max. $500 during the period, until a $250,000 cap is reached. Donations made on Facebook fundraisers, or the general donation page will not be matched.
3. Period: 10am AEST on the Dollar Match Day until cap is reached
4. If the $250,000 cap is reached prior to 5pm on the Dollar Match Day, an announcement will be made on Steptember’s Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn Page, and Private Facebook Group.
5. All Cerebral Palsy Alliance employees and directors who work on Steptember and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance Executive Management Team, are eligible for donation match.

Survey Prizes

1. Survey 1: Complete the pre-campaign survey by 11:59pm, Monday 31 August 2026 to go in the draw to win a Canon camera and lens.
