Earlier this year, my godson and nephew Hugo was diagnosed with moderate to severe Cerebral Palsy.
In general CP is described as a neurological disorder that causes impaired movement associated with exaggerated reflexes, floppiness or spasms, unusual posture, involuntary movements, unsteady walking or a combination of these.
Speech disorders, seizures and mental health problems are common for someone with CP.
There is no cure and the condition lasts for life.
