2024 Challenge

Monday 12th Aug
2024 - and I have decided to join this challenge once again!

I will be aiming to walk 10,000 steps a day - which if you know me at all, know that this is definitely a challenge for me! My exercise consists of the massive hill I have to climb to my classes at uni, heaving and puffing when I make it to the top... but other than that - I am quite a couch potato!

I have chosen to partake in this challenge, not only to challenge my potato-like self, but also in the spirit of the 2024 Paralympics! There are many athletes with Cerebral Palsy who have done and continue to make amazing efforts within their sports, and it is important we can allow this opportunity for all youth with cerebral palsy.

Also, as you may remember, my older sister Isabella, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and she is my main motivator, my main inspiration and main reason for partaking in this challenge again! Each day my walks allow me dedicated time to think of her and walk for her!

So I ask, can you help me help others! The aim is to raise money to help those with cerebral palsy with their basic needs but also helping them go above and beyond the restraints of their physical impairments!

Thank you in advance and any offers to join me on my walks would mean the world!

Lots of love,
Alisha xx

Why STEPtember is important to me

Every 20 hours, an Australian child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

I'm STEPing up this September to fundraise to support Cerebral Palsy Alliance in their mission to help people with cerebral palsy live their best lives.

STEPtember participants are passionate about being healthy, building a more inclusive world and making a life-changing impact for people with cerebral palsy.

Will you STEP up with me for cerebral palsy?
