Steptember 25

I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

Hiya! I’m stepping up for a month-long mood boost and taking on 10k steps a day. But I really need your help!

Please donate now to my Steptember fundraiser.

You’ll give me a much-needed motivation boost, plus you’ll feel great knowing that your gift is helping ensure more babies receive critical cerebral palsy therapy and support in the first 1000 days of life.

Please support me this Steptember.

It will mean so much to me, and to the children and babies who will grow up with a greater sense of independence.

Donate now for an instant mood boost! Thank you!.

Updates

Day 30 - That's a Wrap!

Tuesday 30th Sep
Day 30 - As I headed out for my run this morning I felt mixed emotions.  As I look back over my daily posts I have watched the season change from winter to spring and felt the expectation of new beginnings in nature. I have run 165km and walked 530,000 steps in total!  Thank you for reading my posts, your support and for helping me to raise nearly $1600 for Steptember cerebral palsy charity.  The money raised will help support these young children in their new beginnings!

Day 29 - The Final Countdown!

Monday 29th Sep
Day 29 and it's "the final countdown".  Only one more run to go!  Thought I would brighten your day with some more beautiful spring flowers.  If you would like to support babies with cerebral palsy please click on my link below to make a donation.  Thank you!

Day 28

Sunday 28th Sep
This morning I had my ear buds in and the music pumping!  Music makes such a difference to get you motivated, legs moving to the beat and get the endorphins kicking.  Two days to go!!  woohoo!!

Day 27

Saturday 27th Sep
Today's run was a struggle, I admit it! To push though negativity, I focused on reinforcing positive thoughts and remembering why I was running in the first place.  The sense of achievement can be gained from the smallest of things.  Now to enjoy my coffee!

Day 26

Friday 26th Sep
Isn't it awesome when you find a little bit of paradise just around the corner? Today I found myself just there, a little bush reserve in Mullaloo.  Thank you Lawrence for showing me, and good luck with your quest to get back into running again!

Day 25

Thursday 25th Sep
Today I bring you an assortment of spring in Kallaroo.  There is an abundance of spectacular flowers on show and a definite feel that summer is on it's way.

Day 24

Wednesday 24th Sep
Good morning peeps!  Thanks to you and your donations, more children will sit, stand and take their very first steps.  How great is that?!

Day 23

Tuesday 23rd Sep
Moving towards the finish line with only 1 more week to go.  I have now run 125km, that's nearly 3 marathons! There is still time to donate to this worthy charity by clicking on the link below.  Early detection and therapy can shape a child's whole future.

Day 22

Monday 22nd Sep
Day 22 - For all my UK friends, my picture today features the underrated WA native bottle brush tree.  At first glance they look so straggly, but this time of year they are magnificent and a haven for birds and insects, especially bees.   Enjoy your day!

Day 21

Sunday 21st Sep
Day 21 - Run, coffee, beach walk, brekkie!  What a way to start a summery Sunday - happy days!

Day 20

Saturday 20th Sep
Day 20 - Here comes the sun! What a beautiful morning for a run.  I had a 'spring' in my step this morning (groan...) Have a wonderful weekend!

Day 19

Friday 19th Sep
Day 19 and I've just achieved over 100km! 11 Days to go.  All funds donated helps provide babies born with cerebral palsy to build the skills they need to move, communicate and thrive in their own way.  Happy Friday everyone!

Day 18

Thursday 18th Sep

Day 18 - I bet you're all getting fed up with seeing my ugly mug every day!  Won't be too much longer :)  This is the reason why I am running 5km every day in September:-

Cerebral Palsy Alliance's early diagnosis clinics provide free access for families, supporting them every step of the way.  A baby’s brain is growing and changing more rapidly in the first 1,000 days than at any other time in their life and that is why early intervention is so important.  Have a great day everyone!

A little donation goes a long way, so please click on my link, Thank you

Day 17

Wednesday 17th Sep
Windy weather conditions this morning - invigorating!  Today marks over 90km run so far in my STEPtember personal challenge.  Please support me in my final couple of weeks to raise as much money and awareness for this worthy cause. Thank you!

Day 16

Tuesday 16th Sep
Day 16 - keeping it going - just!  It's starting to get harder to keep running 5km and walking 10,000 steps a day, but I will keep my head up and place one foot in front of the other - determination or stupidity?  It's a close call :)

Day 15 - Rainbows!

Monday 15th Sep
The rainbows on this mornings run helped to lift my energy and heavy legs.  Seeing that my step count is  fast approaching 245,000 and the amazing $1165 raised by you to help babies with cerebral palsy really encourages me every step of the way, thank you!

Day 14

Sunday 14th Sep
Enjoying a well deserved coffee! 2 weeks down, 2 to go!

Day 13

Saturday 13th Sep
I woke up to the sound of heavy rain and thought, "I'm going to get absolutely soaked", but I was in luck, the rain promptly ceased and I managed to remain dry! Happy Days :) A progress report of distances and donation amounts will be coming at the half way point.

Day 12

Friday 12th Sep
Getting used to this 5km a day lark! Making the most of the sun today, as I believe I may be running in the rain again very soon...  Have a great day everyone!

Day 11

Thursday 11th Sep
Today is R U OK day.  Walk, talk, check in. It’s a small moment that could change someone’s day.  Why not head out for a walk today? Breathe in some fresh air and enjoy the sunshine.  See you tomorrow!

Day 10 - Double Digits!

Wednesday 10th Sep
Wow, Day 10 already, how the days fly by!  I enjoyed my run this morning.  It's so interesting to see who's up and about early in the morning.  Have a great day everyone, and please do make a donation if you haven't already, just a small amount can make a big difference.  Thank you so much

Day 9

Tuesday 9th Sep
Today I definitely felt the cold!  Thank you to Kirstine for my crochet headband which kept my ears lovely and warm.  Keep warm everyone and see you tomorrow.

Day 8

Monday 8th Sep
After surviving week 1, I am embracing week 2 of my personal challenge to run 5km a day during September for Steptember.  I got very wet this morning but my coffee was hot!

Day 7

Sunday 7th Sep
Well, I made it through the first week, 5kms every day in September to support STEPtember!  Any more donations gratefully received, thank you!  Happy Aussie Fathers Day!

Day 6

Saturday 6th Sep
Wet and Wild is how I describe today's run.  Totally invigorating though!  Used the compression machine again post run and my legs are holding up!  Got to squeeze in more steps in between the down pours.

Day 5

Friday 5th Sep
Today my legs felt heavy and tired, so after pushing though my run I decided to try out my leg compression machine for 20 mins.  The result was positive, so it may become part of my daily routine.  I can use it as research too - Bonus!

Day 4

Thursday 4th Sep
Today as I run, I am reminded of what a beautiful place we are blessed to live in and that I should never take it for granted.  Love your life!

Day 3

Wednesday 3rd Sep
Got out there early today as I've got a busy day.  Apart from running up Ocean Reef Road (which is a bit of a killer) I enjoyed my run this morning.  Have a great day everyone and please donate a little something if you haven't already, thank you

Day 2

Tuesday 2nd Sep
Taking things a little slower today to make sure I've got enough energy for the month ahead.  I was thinking about my son whilst running.  It's his birthday today - Happy Birthday Son x

Day 1

Monday 1st Sep
Day 1 early in the morning and feeling the spring vibes! Pinch punch!

Day 1

Monday 1st Sep
