For you Michael

My brother was an inspiration to so many. From the very start he was a fighter that defied the odds as a baby and someone who went on to live a life shaped by his passions and interests. He faced so much adversity and encountered more challenges than anyone should have to tackle but Michale pushed through. He has only been gone 2 years but it already feels like a lifetime. Seeing my own daughter face her own challenges has made me think of you often and she shares your fighting spirit. I miss your kindness, generosity and passion for being a good person. For always trying to contribute in your own way and for caring so much about others. This month I dedicate to you, Michael. As I tally up the steps I will take time to honour your memory every day and hope I make you proud like I was so proud of you.

25,000 steps to visit your second home

Tuesday 24th Sep
A big step day, clocking up over 25,000 to come and sit in your seat at your second home. Manly Oval was a special place for you, a place that was your happy place, your safe place. So many days spent supporting your favourite team and your good friends. It was nice yesterday to sit and check in with you. Miss you Mickey x

Steptember Morning Tea

Yesterday I held a morning tea at my work team meeting to raise money and awareness for Steptember. Thank you to my team for their generous donations, the morning tea raised $300. 

Why STEPtember is important to me

Every 20 hours, an Australian child is diagnosed with cerebral palsy.

I'm STEPing up this September to fundraise to support Cerebral Palsy Alliance in their mission to help people with cerebral palsy live their best lives.

STEPtember participants are passionate about being healthy, building a more inclusive world and making a life-changing impact for people with cerebral palsy.
