Getting ready for Steptember!

This is me and my niece Mackenzie, also known as "Kenzie", "Kenzo", or "Kenny". She is playful, headstrong, whip-smart, cute as button, a talented musician, and a hilarious budding comedienne. Also, she was born at 28 weeks with cerebral palsy. 

Watching her grow into the incredible little 6 year old human who now attends mainstream school in a wheelchair has been a joyful privilege. Watching her cry in intensive physiotherapy sessions that will help her to be more mobile and independent, on the other hand, has been heartbreaking.

I’m stepping up to the challenge of walking the equivalent of 10k steps a day for the entire month of September (thats 300,000 steps) to raise funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance. For someone in a sit-down job, this really will be a challenge.
