WE ARE STEPPING FOR HART AND PEOPLE LIVING WITH CEREBRAL PALSY.
Monday 28th AugLast year our little Hart was diagnosed with Periventricular Leukomalacia (PVL) and subsequently Cerebral Palsy. PVL is a brain injury that primarily affects premature infants, resulting in damage to the white matter around the ventricles of the brain. This condition is often caused by a lack of blood flow or oxygen to the developing brain. PVL is commonly associated with the development of cerebral palsy.
In September, we will be walking 10,000 steps a day to raise awareness for cerebral palsy and join the inclusivity movement with Steptember. Every dollar raised will be dedicated to helping individuals like Hart live their best lives, while supporting essential research for early detection and identifying babies at risk.
