My brother Kallan was born 3 months early and as a result had a bleed in his brain that resulted in his Cerebral Palsy diagnosis.
When he was born my parents were told that it was unlikely that he would ever walk, talk or really be able to sustain himself; Kallan is now 28 yrs old and has defied all the odds, walking on a walking frame and even singing and playing the guitar; he is very strong but none of this would've been possible without some amazing Drs who believed in him.
My parents got him into early intervention very young and they set him up with all the support he needed including the Cerebral Palsy alliance!!
Due to the wonderful research enabled by fundraisers like this Kallan was able to get life-changing treatments and surgeries (including being part of early botox trials).
