My son has Cerebral Palsy
He developed Pneumococcal Meningitis at 13 months of age which left him with brain damage and cerebral palsy as a result. We had a LONG stay in hospital and nearly lost him a couple of times. It was a tough time... He is now 18 years old and in his last year of school. He stayed in mainstream for most of his school career but moved to an Ed-Support school in year 10. My husband kicked off an idea for a football program for kids with disability over 10 years ago. He now formally runs a team in WA with who support clubs in running programs of their own with 31 football clubs having a "starkick" team. So, if you feel like throwing some support behind a good cause, donate some money to Steptember...
