Steptember 25

'You will never walk again,' Drs said, so I want to walk for CP!

Hiya! I’m stepping up for the month-long privilege of raising funding for CP. But I really need your help!

My nephew Laurence has severe CP. I have seen first hand how, my sister, our family and his many friends need our support in all the times no one is watching.

I have experienced not being able to walk. Now I can I will strive to get 10,000 steps a day up for one month for brave people like Laurence and the many babies that need critical cerebral palsy therapy and support in the first 1000 days of life.

It takes courage every day to live with CP. Please support me this Steptember if you can!

Donate now for an instant mood boost! Thank you!

Walking is re-creation

Thursday 4th Sep
not recreation! Thank you awesome donors and STEPtember for refreshing my attitude to walking. So says Robert Macfarlane in his essay about the Edwardian writer and walker of the South Downs in the UK, Edward Thomas. Before Debord and the idea of derive or randomly motivated walking, which appeals to me, or Richard Long ' a line made by walking,' Thomas described walking as a creative act.

Walking one step at a time

Monday 1st Sep
Is the title of a book that helped motivate me to learn to walk again after an accident. It’s by Erlinge Kagge, the great Norwegian mountain climber. Walking to me is a joy, one I appreciate as I know what it’s like not to be able to!Â
