Steptember 25

I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

Hiya! I’m Stepping Up This Steptember – And I’d Love Your Support

This September, I’m taking on a challenge that’s good for the body, mind, and heart: 10,000 steps a day, every day, for the entire month. It’s part of
Steptember, a global movement to raise funds and awareness for cerebral palsy—and I’m proud to be stepping up as a team leader.

But I can’t do it alone.

Your donation will not only give me a much-needed motivation boost, it will also help ensure that more babies receive critical therapy and support in the first 1000 days of life. These early interventions can make a world of difference—helping children grow up with greater independence, confidence, and opportunity.

Whether it’s your first time donating or you’ve supported Steptember before, your gift means so much. It’s a simple act that brings joy, hope, and real change.

So please, support me this Steptember. Let’s walk the walk together—and make every step count.

Donate now for an instant mood boost. Thank you!

Day 12 - Small Wins & Sweet Plans

Friday 12th Sep

We’re nearly halfway through Steptember and I’m feeling proud of the progress so far!

This week I saw a noticeable improvement in my second 3km run with the Movement Club
🏃‍♀️ a little quicker, a little stronger, and a lot less puffed! It’s amazing what a bit of consistency can do.

And because I clearly like a challenge, I’ve also kicked off planning for a Steptember Bake Sale at work
🍰🧁. Sweet treats for a good cause? Yes please! Stay tuned for what’s coming out of the oven.

Step-wise, I’m happy to report I’m
slightly ahead of my 10,000 steps a day goal which feels like a big win in a busy week. Every step is adding up, and I’m determined to keep the momentum going.

Oh, and I’m still holding onto the #1 top fundraiser spot in my organisation
🥇
Will I stay there? That’s up to you! 😉

To everyone who's donated already: thank you so much. Your support means the world to me and is making a real difference for kids living with cerebral palsy.

If you haven’t donated yet, now’s the perfect time. Your generosity helps fund vital therapy in the first 1000 days of life and keeps me stepping strong every single day.

Let’s keep going, one step, one bake sale, and one donation at a time
💛

Day 8 – Weekend Wobbles & A New Game Plan

Monday 8th Sep

So… turns out weekends aren’t the step-count free pass I thought they’d be. I figured I’d breeze through my 10k steps with all that “extra time” but nope! This past weekend was a bit of a struggle. Life got busy, and the steps didn’t magically happen.

But I’m not letting that slide again.

This coming weekend, I’m locking in two things:
🥾 A solo hike (just me, my playlist, and the trail)
🏃‍♂️ A walk/run with my husband—because if anyone can keep me moving, it’s him!

I’m committed to hitting my 10k steps every single day. No excuses, just movement.

Also… still sitting pretty in the #1 top fundraiser spot in my organisation 🎉
I’m proud, I’m grateful and I’m watching closely to see who’s going to try and catch me. Come on then, who’s got the legs to keep up? 😏

Thanks again to everyone who’s donated. You’re helping fund vital therapy for kids living with cerebral palsy and you’re keeping me stepping strong.

Let’s keep going. For the kids. For the cause. And maybe… for the leaderboard too.

Day 5 - One week down, still stepping strong!

Friday 5th Sep

Week one of Steptember is done and dusted and what a start it’s been! I’ve racked up thousands of steps, felt the mental boost of moving more and been genuinely touched by the support I’ve received so far.

I hit my fundraising target on Day 2!
I’m honestly so grateful to everyone who's donated, it's your generosity that keeps me going, especially on those days when the couch looks tempting.

This week also brought a couple of firsts:

I completed my first ever group run with my teammate Sorana, a huge personal win and a great bonding moment.

I’m on track to hit 55,000 steps for Days 1–5, well above my usual pace!

And here’s something I’m quietly chuffed about: I’m currently the top fundraiser in my organisation. That's thanks to all of you who've backed me - thank you so much.

I’m walking 10,000 steps a day to raise funds for babies and children living with cerebral palsy. Every dollar helps provide life-changing therapy and support in those crucial first 1000 days.

If you’ve been thinking about donating, now’s a great time. Your support really does make a difference, and it means the world to me.

Are you doing Steptember too?
Let's swap tips, share wins, and keep each other moving!

Thanks again for cheering me on. Let's keep stepping - for the kids, for the cause, and for that feel-good moment when you know you’ve helped someone.

Day 1 – Kicking Off Steptember!

Monday 1st Sep
It’s officially Day 1 of Steptember and I’m stepping into the month with a big goal: 10km a day, every day. That’s a serious stretch for me, I usually average between 4km and 6km, so this challenge is going to push me in all the best ways.

I’ve mapped out a plan to help me hit my daily step count:

Team walks three times a week during lunch (great for a chat and a stretch!)
- A second walk after work before heading home
- A weekend hike to soak up some nature and rack up those steps

I’m doing this to raise funds for children living with cerebral palsy, helping them access vital therapy and support in the first 1000 days of life. Every step I take is for them, and every donation helps make that support possible.

Are you doing Steptember too?
I’d love to hear how you’re planning to reach your daily step goal. Let’s cheer each other on and share tips, because we’re all in this together.

And if you haven’t donated yet, now’s a great time to jump in. Your support means the world to me and, even more to the kids we’re walking for.

Let’s make every step count. Let’s do this!
