Steptember 25

I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

Hiya! I’m stepping up for a month-long mood boost and taking on 10k steps a day. But I really need your help!

Please donate now to my Steptember fundraiser.

You’ll give me a much-needed motivation boost, plus you’ll feel great knowing that your gift is helping ensure more babies receive critical cerebral palsy therapy and support in the first 1000 days of life.

Please support me this Steptember.

It will mean so much to me, and to the children and babies who will grow up with a greater sense of independence.

Donate now for an instant mood boost! Thank you!.

Day 1 - A New Beginning

Monday 1st Sep
So, i decided to attempt Steptember to improve my health, and lose a bit of weight at the same time. and why not do that while working for a good cause!

I woke up this morning and weighed myself, and at 134.7KGs, its time for a change.

I normally do roughly between 4-5000 steps a day.
I leave my house at 7AM, and walk to a bus stop, around 8 minutes away. This morning, i kept walking. I usually get there around 5 mins before my bus comes, so i took the opportunity to walk to the end of the block and back.

When the bus arrived, i got off a stop earlier than i normally do, just outside the Royal Hobart Hospital.  Crossing over, i decided to walk the entire Hospital block, and then cross over into Town proper.

Walking past multiple shops, like Myer, Rodd and Gunn, i take the time to attempt paced walking, via Youtube Music. This is a feature of my Pixel 2 watch, where you try and match your BPM to the rhythm of the song you are listening to.

Getting to work, i walk up the 4 flights of stairs instead of taking the lift. Stairs are the real killer. By the time i got to the top, i was puffed!

Sitting down at my desk, that resulted in 3.5K steps. I have a long month ahead of me. :)

But if i am going to lose weight, my diet needs to change as well. I have had success in the past with Keto, so im going to attempt to stick to a Carnivore/Keto diet for the month. Kebabs for tea tonight!
