Why Steptember Matters to Me
This is my fourth year taking on the Steptember challenge.
Throughout September, I'll be reaching my step goal through a mix of walking, swimming, and weight training. But for me, this challenge is about much more than hitting 10,000 steps a day.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of learning from and working alongside people living with cerebral palsy. I completed an adaptive yoga teacher training program where many of the students we learnt from were living with CP, and I also taught swimming to children with special needs, including CP.
Those experiences showed me the importance of early intervention, therapy, and ongoing support. They can make a life-changing difference to a child's confidence, independence, and opportunities.
The CP community has inspired me in so many ways, which is why supporting Steptember is a cause that means a great deal to me.
If you'd like to support my challenge, I'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation helps provide vital programs and services for people living with CP and their families.
Thank you for supporting a cause close to my heart. đź’™ Every step counts.
