Hi! This Steptember, every step I take is for my Aunty.
My Aunty has one of the most severe forms of Cerebral Palsy. She has never been able to walk, talk, or control her muscles, and doctors never expected her to reach her teenage years, let alone her 21st birthday. Thanks to advances in medical science, she is now in her 50s and continues to defy the odds.
She has the biggest personality of anyone I know and her own special way of communicating. One of my favourite things is hearing her excitement when her nieces and nephews come to visit. She can light up a room without saying a word.
She is my inspiration this Steptember and the reason I'll be putting one foot in front of the other every day. 💚
