Steptember 26

Hi everyone, this is my take on steptember and why i’m doing it!!!

this september, i’m taking part on steptember, im aiming to reach or go beyond 10,000 steps ever day this month whilst simultaneously raising money to support people living with cerebral palsy.

Movement has always been a huge part of my life, and for the longest time i never really thought twice about the ability to run, jump, walk, train  and simply move my body.

Though this year, i’ve had to really consider the consequences of movement for myself, things that once felt automatic have become things i’ve had to really work towards, be patient with, and accept that my body won’t allow me to anymore.

It’s made me realise how easy it is to take the things our bodies allow us to do for granted, and how much courage and persistence it can take when your body simply won’t cooperate the way you want it to.

So i think Steptember has become something i really want to strive towards.

Everyone has something that they struggle with, it might be something that’s visible to everyone around them, or something that nobody can see. It could be your body, your mind, your circumstances, or even something that feels entirely difficult to get out of at the time.

For some people 10,000 steps a day might be a normal day. For someone else it could be a huge achievement.

So this month, it’s not just about hitting a goal or number on my watch. It’s about appreciating movement, challenging myself, and remembering that every step forwads is another step that counts, especially when it feels it isn’t easy.

Everyday is a struggle for myself, but i push through anyway.

I’m taking on this challenge to support everyone who faces barriers to movement and independence every day .

If this resonates with you in any way - i’d love for you to be part of my steptember journey, Every bit of support helps contribute towards greater opportunities, independence and quality of life for those living with cerebral palsy.

Thank you thank you thank you! for reading my story and taking the time to support something bigger than ourselves 😁
