I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?
Hiya! I’m stepping up for a month-long mood boost and taking on 10k steps a day. But I really need your help!
Please donate now to my Steptember fundraiser.
You’ll give me a much-needed motivation boost, plus you’ll feel great knowing that your gift is helping ensure more babies receive critical cerebral palsy therapy and support in the first 1000 days of life.
Please support me this Steptember.
It will mean so much to me, and to the children and babies who will grow up with a greater sense of independence.
Donate now for an instant mood boost! Thank you!.

Why I Walk for Steptember – In Memory of My Brother
Friday 11th Jul
By Justin Fellows, Founder of MelbMyo
Each September, I lace up my shoes, open the Steptember app, and get moving. Not just for my health, not just for the challenge — but for something deeply personal.
Over 10 years ago, I lost my brother. He was born with cerebral palsy, along with several other complex conditions that made his time on this earth incredibly challenging — but also profoundly inspiring.
Growing up with him shaped my entire perspective on life, resilience, and care. It was through him that I saw firsthand the day-to-day struggles families face: the appointments, the therapies, the physical barriers, and the emotional toll. But I also saw love, patience, and a kind of strength that words can't quite capture.
Today, as a myotherapist and the founder of MelbMyo, I work every day to help people move better, live pain-free, and regain function. But no matter how advanced our treatments become, it’s hard not to think of those like my brother — for whom basic movement was a daily battle.
That’s why I support Steptember.
This isn't just another fitness challenge. It’s about raising awareness, funding crucial support, and giving families access to resources that can truly change lives — just like the ones my family relied on.
So while I may be tracking 10,000 steps a day this September, every single one of them is for him — and for the 34,000 Australians living with cerebral palsy today.
If you feel like joining the MelbMyo team, logging your steps, or simply helping spread the message, I’d love to have you with me.
Let’s step up, together.
