Choo-choo-choosing to walk! Finally using my legs (send help)

Honestly, I spend most of my life on trains. Like, an embarrassing amount of time. Comfortable seats, someone else doing the driving, plenty of time to doom-scroll—it's basically my natural habitat. But this StepTember, I've decided to actually use my legs for something other than pushing the train door button.

I'm stepping (pun absolutely intended) out of my comfort zone and joining this absolutely mad team to prove that yes, I can walk. Apparently trains don't count toward step counts, which feels like a personal attack, but here we are.

Fair warning to my knees: they're about to get very familiar with actual ground. My fitness tracker is probably going to have an existential crisis when it realizes I'm finally active. And if you see me complaining about blisters by week two, just know I tried my best—the pavement and I are negotiating our relationship as we speak.

Platform 9¾? This month it's all about Platform Pavement.
