Steptember 26

I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

Hi! I’m stepping up for a month-long mood boost and taking on 10k steps a day. But I really need your help!

Please donate now to my Steptember fundraiser.

You’ll give me a much-needed motivation boost, plus you’ll feel great knowing that your gift is helping ensure more babies receive critical cerebral palsy therapy and support in their first 1,000 days of life.

Please support me this Steptember.

It will mean so much to me, and to the children and babies who will grow up with a greater sense of independence.

Donate now for an instant mood boost! Thank you!

Day 2: Breaking News!

Tuesday 25th Aug
Local woman discovers that 10,000 steps is significantly more than she originally estimated.

Sources confirm she has begun:

Taking the scenic route and my identifies as an "explorer".
Walking laps while waiting for the washing machine to finish.
Celebrating every 100 steps like she's won Olympic gold.

Experts predict this behaviour will continue until the end of Steptember.

Please donate. My legs are doing their best.

Confidence vs Reality

Monday 24th Aug

Today I've discovered two things:

  1. My fitness apps are judging me.
  2. The walk to the kitchen and back for caffeine is not the cardio workout I previously considered it to be...

I've now become the person who considers climbing out my window to be able to take the long route to the kitchen, and while I've always been the person who considers parking a little further away, now it's not only to avoid my car being hit in the car park, but as a strategic athletic decision towards meeting 10,000 steps.

The good news? The step count IS climbing.

The bad news? So is my caffeine consumption.

Wish me luck. My calves have begun drafting a formal complaint.
