Steptember 26

I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

This September I’ll be taking part in ‘Steptember’ to help raise money for children and families living with cerebral palsy.

When our son, Julian, was born he was diagnosed with severe HIE, a brain injury caused by a lack of oxygen at the time of birth. In those first few days, we faced significant uncertainty around whether Julian would survive, and if he did whether he would develop cerebral palsy as a result.

We are very fortunate that Julian did not develop cerebral palsy. However, we know that many children and families experiencing the same beginning don’t have the same outcome.

While we can’t fully understand the journey of a family with cerebral palsy, we did experience the fear and uncertainty of not knowing what the future would hold.

I’m taking part in Stepember to ensure children and families living with cerebral palsy have access to the support, therapies, research and opportunities they deserve. Thank you so much for supporting me and this very important cause!
