I'm taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?
If you know the Leamys, you know the journey of our Nate. Our beautiful, cheeky, strong, smart 6yo lad contracted parecho virus and meningitis at 5 days of age. It has been one hell of a journey for him. Luckily for us he is a fighter. But it has had a lasting impact, Nate has cerebral palsy. Initially they said he would be in a wheelchair. But he is a determined lad, trying to learn to ride a bike, play soccer and keep up with his able-bodied counterparts. We have been fortunate to get access to an amazing allied health tribe to support him. But not everyone who has cp is as lucky. So in September I step up for Steptember, so other kids with cp get the support they need, and get to grow up with a greater sense of independence.
