300,000 wasn't enough — I'm walking 15,000 steps a day for STEPtember
Hi, I'm Phillip.
I'm a program manager, a joker, a Brisbane Broncos tragic, a kettlebell enthusiast, and now apparently a charity athlete.
For the month of September, I'm committing to 15,000 steps every single day. That's 450,000 steps. Roughly 360km. I do compound lifts, not cardio — so this is going to hurt.
Why 15,000 and not 10,000? Because I've got weight to lose and "comfortable" doesn't get you there.
But here's why I'm really doing it: every dollar raised helps babies with cerebral palsy get critical therapy and support in their first 1,000 days of life. That's not abstract. That's a kid getting a real shot at independence.
So if you've ever wanted to see me suffer voluntarily, this is your moment. Donate. Every dollar gives me a reason to keep walking when my legs are screaming and the couch is calling.
I'll be posting updates — probably complaining, definitely sweating, occasionally philosophising (get it? phil...osophising) about it on every channel I can't get banned from.
Sponsor me. Help kids. Save me from myself.
Donate now. Thank you.
