Steptember 26

We’re taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

Hi! We’re stepping up for a month-long mood boost and taking on 10k steps a day. But we really need your help!

Please donate now to our Steptember fundraiser.

You'll give our team a big motivation boost, plus you'll feel great knowing that your gift is helping ensure more babies receive critical cerebral palsy therapy and support in their first 1000 days of life.

Please show your support this Steptember. It will mean so much to our team, and to the children and babies who will grow up with a greater sense of independence.

Donate now for an instant mood boost! Thank you!

Team Updates

Rules & Regulations

Terms of Reference (ToR)

The Swiss Dream Steering Committee exists to provide governance, oversight and strategic direction for the achievement of the Swiss Dream.

The Swiss Dream has not yet been defined.

 1. Committee Attendance Requirements

All Committee Members are required to:

  • Achieve a target of 10,000 steps per day
  • Maintain a minimum of 5,000 steps per day
  • Participate in occasional strategic walking initiatives

Failure to meet minimum requirements may result in placement on a Performance Improvement Walk (PIW).

2. Step Count Reporting

Members are expected to report step counts honestly and transparently.

The Steering Committee reserves the right to challenge:

  • Suspiciously round numbers
  • Last minute step inflation
  • "Accidental" midnight walks

3. Transport Governance Policy

Prior to taking any form of transport, members should consider:

Could this have been a walk?

Particularly if the journey is:

  • Across the road
  • Around the corner
  • "Only 15 minutes away"

4. The Liz Uber Risk Framework

Due to historical transport decisions, all Uber-related activities involving Liz shall be classified as a High Risk Event.

Where an Uber is proposed, the Committee shall first assess:

  • Distance
  • Weather
  • Laziness factor
  • Whether Gerd would have walked it

5. Gami Fried Chicken Incentive Scheme

Should Liz successfully complete Europe with less Uber usage than forecasted by the Committee, Gami Fried Chicken may be payable by relevant stakeholders.

Legal is currently reviewing the terms.

6. Amy's Escalation Rights

Amy may issue an unscheduled compliance review at any time by asking:

"How many steps are you on?"

Committee members are expected to provide an answer within a reasonable timeframe.

For avoidance of doubt, if Amy asks whether Pilates counts, the answer is no. This has been pre-reviewed and rejected by the Committee.

7. Gerd's Veto Rights

Gerd may veto any statement containing:

  • "I'll just Uber"
  • "It's too far"
  • "Let's drive"
  • "I can't be bothered"

A supporting business case will then be required.

8. Strategic Step Recovery Program

Members below 5,000 steps after 8pm must immediately activate a recovery plan.

Examples include:

  • Walking to Woolies despite needing nothing
  • Walking around the block
  • Walking while on Teams
  • Walking angrily
