Just Here to Beat My Coworkers
When work mentioned there was going to be a Steptember competition, naturally I took it way too seriously.
I’m not usually someone who gets excited about walking around counting my steps, but apparently all it takes is the possibility of beating my coworkers and suddenly I’m committed.
I’m doing Steptember for a bit of friendly competition, a reason to get moving more, and the opportunity to become completely obsessed with my step count.
I fully expect to be checking my watch at 10pm, seeing that I’m 2,000 steps short and deciding that walking laps around the house is somehow a reasonable use of my evening.
At the end of the day, it’s for a good cause — but let’s be honest, I also want to win.
Good luck everyone. May the best (and most unnecessarily active) team win. 🦶🏆
