We’re taking on Steptember! Will you please show your support?

Dear Friends,

This September, The Malawi Cerebral Register Team is taking part in Steptember to raise funds for the GLM-CPR and help more children with cerebral palsy access the care and support they need.

For us, this challenge is about much more than taking steps. Behind every record in the GLM-CPR is a child, a family and a future that could be changed through earlier identification, better knowledge and the right support.

The GLM-CPR works to identify children who may otherwise remain unseen by health and care systems, understand the underlying causes of cerebral palsy, and, wherever possible, connect children and their families with a network of care.

Sadly, identifying a child does not always mean they will be able to access the services they need. Geography, resources, local infrastructure and the availability of trained teams can all stand in the way. But every child identified brings us closer to understanding where the greatest gaps exist and how we can help close them.

Importantly, the funds we raise through Steptember will come back to the GLM-CPR, helping The Malawi CP Register and 31 other country Partners across the globe to continue this vital work. Your donation will support the registers to reach more children, gather critical evidence and strengthen the pathways connecting families with care.
