I'm taking on Steptember — 16 years of stepping up (yes, my feet are tired)

Hi! I'm Pip, and I've been doing Steptember for 16 years. You'd think after that long I'd have this fundraising page nailed. Turns out, writing compelling copy for yourself is a lot harder than writing it for everyone else — which is, ironically, literally my job.
So here's the honest version: every September I swap my desk chair for a step counter, drag my colleagues into a friendly (read: ruthlessly competitive) team challenge, and try to clock 11,000 steps a day while convincing anyone who'll listen to donate to a cause I genuinely care about.
That cause is Cerebral Palsy Alliance — and the work they do is nothing short of remarkable. Every dollar raised helps fund early intervention therapies, research, and support for people living with cerebral palsy. The progress made in just one generation has been extraordinary, and events like Steptember are a real part of that story.
So if you've ever had to listen to me talk about my step count, my team ranking, or weigh in on the great steps-versus-activity debate — consider this your chance to make it worth everyone's while. I will walk for encouragement, I will walk for glory, and I will absolutely walk for treats. But mostly I'll walk because the work Cerebral Palsy Alliance does genuinely matters, and your donation — however big or small — is part of that.
Donate if you can. Cheer me on if you can't. Either way, I appreciate you.
