Steptember 26

Why I’m Stepping (again)

This September marks my third year stepping for CP - which means I’ve now voluntarily walked more in September than I do in the other 11 months combined.

I walk for my brother-in-law, Hayden, who lives with cerebral palsy. STEPtember is my way of turning a few weeks of steps into real support for the people and families navigating CP every day.

Last year I set a goal of $350 and ended up raising $600, and I aimed for 300,000 steps and pushed through to 400,000. Every single step was worth it, and I’m so grateful to everyone who cheered me on.

This year I’m hoping for even more… but I’ll be honest, it won’t be easy. Since last year’s STEPtember I’ve had my own health battle, including a pulmonary embolism and developing visual snow.

Some days the steps are harder to find than they used to be. But that’s exactly why I’m showing up again: because persistence matters, whether it’s 10,000 steps or a thousand.

I can’t beat last year’s numbers alone- I need your help. Please consider donating to support people living with cerebral palsy. Every dollar and every step counts.

Thank you for walking this with me. 💙
