Hi! 

As I do every year, I am taking part in the STEPtember campaign again and sharing my journey on the blog. The campaign encourages people to walk for a meaningful cause, raising funds and support for children living with Cerebral palsy. This year feels even more meaningful as I walk in honour of a loved one showing early signs of the disease, expressing my care through this campaign.

I’m stepping up for a month-long mood boost and taking on 10k steps a day. But I really need your help!

Make the Walk Talk - 06 Sep

Sunday 6th Sep
The first week of STEPtember has been fantastic, helping to raise funds for a meaningful cause. After the walks, I feel a bit lighter and have nearly hit 90,000 steps, raising $826 so far. The dollar match event on September 3rd was perfectly timed, and with my own contribution, I was able to raise almost $225, which doubles to increase the impact of the money raised. I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me during the campaign. The Father’s Day weekend offered ideal weather for morning walks at Marco Reserve in Panania and near home by the ponds. I’m looking forward to the fundraising event planned at the office next week. 

Make the Walk Talk - 01 Sep

Wednesday 2nd Sep
The STEPtember campaign got off to a strong start as I have nearly reached 20,000 steps and received my first fundraising support from my wife for this wonderful cause. My friend Santosh also contributed today, showing support for my effort. At work, we held a team meeting to plan a "Bake Sale Fundraiser" event in the office. It was encouraging to see a positive response to the event scheduled for next week on 9th September, with plans to raise awareness in the office to generate funds and support.
